THE AESTHETICS OF SILENCE
Typography, Book Binding
Two books that reinterpret the essay ‘Aesthetics of Silence’ by S. Sontag. The first book uses the layout of the paratext to express the ideas of anemic art, peripheries of text and the notion of full margin. The second book explores the physicality of text and speculates whether words weigh more when punctuated with long silences: each page is covered by a layer of thin paper and can only be read when pressed.
